Rabbit Hash- a quaint little (and we do mean little) town right along the banks of the Ohio River. The general store has been in operation for 182 years. Next door is a BBQ restaurant and a few little shops. Visit June 29, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for the Brown Grass Festival. It features musicians from Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati...best of all...it's FREE!!
Florence Freedom- The pride of Northern Kentucky - our very own professional baseball team. The Florence Freedom is part of the Frontier League. It offers various promotions throughout the summer and is super family friendly. Some include $1 beers, post-game concerts and plenty of give-a-ways.
Creation Museum- The history of the Bible awaits at the Creation Museum where you can view a step-by-step chronology including Noah's Ark to the Word of the Lord. It also includes 20 new zip lines and 10 sky bridges.
Berhringer - Crawford Museum- This was the former 19th century home of the Devous family. This summer it features an exhibit, "Northern Kentucky Music Legends." Prices range from $4-$7.
Kentucky Speedway - Not only is Kentucky known for horse racing but you can also add truck and car racing to that list. The Nationwide and Sprint Cup series events take place each summer here and the big race, the Quaker State 400 is always a big hit.
Thaxton's Canoe Trails- Enjoy a lazy day of floating down the river on a canoe or kayak. Thaxton's streams are perfect for beginners, families, outings with friends and more. Prices range from $12-$40.
Split Rock Conservation Park- View a stunning rock formation that is the remnant of a glacier that extended into Kentucky hundreds of thousands of years ago. This attraction is FREE and located in Petersburg.
Kincaid Lake State Park- Located in Falmouth, this wonderful state park is perfect for enjoying the pool, renting a boat, hiking on nature trails or playing 9 holes of golf. A party area is also available for renting and can hold up to 175 people.
BB Riverboats - Relive the days of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn as you cruise down the Ohio River on the Belle of Cincinnati or the River Queen. You'll enjoy beautiful Cincinnati skyline views and great food. Prices range from $14-$38.
Campbell County Log Cabin Museum - Celebrate Campbell Counties rural history here. View two log cabins, a steam engine and 50 pieces of antique farm equipment. Located in Alexandria and the cost is FREE.
Elk Creek Vineyards - Located at hour south of Cincinnati in Owen County, this winery offers a large array of wines. All of the wine is made and bottled on-site. Live music, a bed and breakfast, an art gallery and cook classes are also located here.
A.J. Jolly Park and Campground- Riding trails, a 200-acre fishing lake, campground and sports related facilities are all here. Grab the family, pack a picnic lunch and check it out.
Northern Kentucky Gambling Museum - I bet you didn't know but Monmouth Street in Newport was once lined with casinos and bars. This museum features old slot machines, poker chips and photos. It's open M-Sa from 11a-4p and is only $5.
